Hey guys,
I have an 81 Nissan Maxima. My power windows doesn't seem to be working properly. At times, it works and then today, it didn't work. Could anyone tell me what's the best troubleshooting path I should take...any ideas...??

I've experienced the same problem multiple times with many of the switches in the old datsuns. I've found that the metal contacts get bent such that they are not in loaded/rubbing any more. If you disassemble the switch, and bend the contacts just slightly, it makes all the difference in the world. If you snap the clips that hold the switch together, just wrap it with electrical tape to hold it together.
