New Gen 2 Owner - Intro (bought it last night)
New Gen 2 Owner - Intro (bought it last night)
So my Supra died Monday morning. I cried, but life moves on. Found a 1988 GXE, 84k on the clock, 2400 on the price tag. Got it for 2300. Clean as anything; some old guy owned it, passed away, and a couple bought it and used it for the past month, they needed a car until they could find a family van.
No leaking seals on the engine, nice. Brakes were just done, good. Muffler's rusting inside, ehh, not to big a deal. Suspension is on it's way out, I can fix that in my sleep anymore.
It's an automatic. That was the hard part to swallow. Going from an RWD MT to a FWD AT, rough country. But you do what you have to do, right? And it is a Nissan, tied for #1 in my heart with old school Toyota's (i.e. GTS's, MKII Supra's, my beloved '89 Corolla (the first car i had, and the first car I got all 4 wheels of the ground simultaniously, on purpose.) V6 - I see potential.
So, enough with the intro - it's definatly a car with potential, and being the gear head i am, i'm already looking for stuff to do to it.
