replacing the EGR?

replacing the EGR?
When replacing the EGR valve I removed the ~1" nut, and the two 12mm nuts up top on the egr valve. Now it looks like I need to take the bottom nut loose so I can move that pipe that hooks to the EGR...is this the case? Do I need to take that bottom nut out to replace the egr or is there something I am missing? There is just not enough room to take it out with out moving that pipe....and help would be great...the lower nut is currently soaking in PB blaster. Thanks.

What I've done is carefully pull the tube back far enough to clear the EGR valve. Remove the EGR valve, put the new on in, then work the tube back (and take your time because it can be a PITA) then bolt it all back together. You can do it the way you describe, but it maybe more difficult to do.
