Planning on changing out the front speakers (as well as the rears). How do you remove the door panels to access the speakers?

As a side question, does anyone know the factory speaker sizes?

1. Pop the little screw plug out of the door handle and remove screw for door handle.
2. Slide handle back, and up.
3. Pry up the powerwindow/lock switch and unplug from the harness
4. Unscrew the courtesy light, disconnect harness and removed.
5. Pry off black centerpiece on mirrors and remove the screw under it. Then remove the plastic trim
6. Unscrew the 2 large screws holding the door panel in.
7. Lift up on the door panel until it's clear of the door lock, then remove.

What Sarin Said. My problem when I was changing out the speakers was the outer trim of the inner door handle. It wouldnt pop off for crap. Without that coming off you cant get the door panel completely off. So, is what I did I just manuvered it to tilt up while I changed out the speaker. Yes, this was harder, but I got my new speakers in.

where can you get the replacement clips to hold it on

those little plastic barbed things? we have them at auto zone. the problem I had with my door panel was the clip right near the door handle. if that's what you need, forget it. I used some short self-tapping sheet metal screws with a 5/16" hex head. I drove 2 in through that little plastic lip, and once I put the door handle back on, it completely hid the screws. it held up great.

wasn't sure which one you were talking about.

All my clips were ok and intact. Never needed any replacements.

yea no crap, some of mine have been broken since i bought the car, after i get the pannels re uholstered i am gonna need clippies to put them back together

you should still be able to get them though, any auto parts store with a Help! section like pep girls or advance should carry some. they're a Dorman product and come in little orange packages. short of that, if you can't find them there, your next best thing is a nissan dealer.

I don't see why you can't just use universal ones... I mean I don't think they need to be model-specific. actually, I'm kinda surprised you're having trouble finding them.

Duct tape is universal .... j/k

that and self-tapping sheet metal screws... just get a cordless drill with a hex bit and go to work... no pre-drilling required... and they work for anything! LOL
