quick question

Its me again
I just cant seem to catch a break. Well I went to my mechanic and he said the calipers were fine and just replaced the pads which saved me over $1000. But not thinking right, I also had to do an emissions test. The simplest way to put it....it failed, bad in some areas and horribly in others. Well at least I was right about something...that my mixture was running too rich. (CO and NOX were super high)
Anyways my question is (this is where the quick part comes in), will any Air Mass Sensor (AMS) from any other year(ie 1985-1987) fit/work with my car (1988). Looking on the web it seems that the 88 got its own AMS. Also if not, is there any other Nissan cars that also got the same AMS as the 88?

thanks again

Any MAF should work fine within those years.
