Vg33

would a VG33 fit into a second gen maxima, if so would the mounts need to be changed?

you would have to mod the mount to fit the vg33e into your max,

but will your tranny take the power of the engine,

you might have to rebuild your tranny if it can't take the power of the vg,

alot of people who have never generations seem to forget theres a vg in ours in the first place....

by measurements i have determined that a VG33ER will fit into a Seccond Gen IF

you RWD convert it
Use 300Z mounts
and modify the top end slightly so the intake wraps from one side or another

what i dont know is if a 300Z transmission will fit, driveline and rear axle on top of rear breake set up and replacing the front suspension/old Front drive drive train....so basicly what i figured out was to get it in and shut the hood and its by measurment only so its far from 100% sure

Actually, the VG33 block on the VG30 should have the same mounting points, just have to use the actual mounts, etc, from one of our engines...the heads are interchangable, so the intake should be, as well...all you should need would be the VG33 block and internals...according to http://www.nissanperformancemag.com, with the VG33 swap into a VG equipped Pathfinder, that the accessory mounts are a little different, but workable...so mounting the accessories would vary slightly...

So, take a VG33 block, bore it to accept the Q45 pistons, install a set of VG30 heads, with a mile port job, and a set of 262 cams, and get an Engloid manifold, with a 240SX TB, a Z31 MAF and ECU, a Ram Air like Big Dogs, and a nice 2.5" exhaust, and that would be an all-motor sleeper for sure - be more power than a VG30ET swapped in, without all the headaches of that swap...it'd be a LOT more direct fit, and get to keep the ol' A/C, if desired...

i'm talking about the super charged engine fitting in the car with the hood closed

Iam not sure if a sc would fit under your hood,

i don't think it worth putting a sc on a vg,

i think the vg is more worth for the turbo then the sc,

actually the sc is more for the vq then the vg,

Yeah, I think I'd stick with either a turbo, or N/A myself...a SC may be slightly lower maintenence than a turbo, but installation and plumbing nightmares would be a beast - plus, you'd NEVER get the boost pressures from a SC that you could with a turbo...

What'd be cool, though, is aim for a 300HP all-motor build, then add a little juice for when you run out of breath in a heat...

^thats the plan stan^

well that is if i dont buy a mid 60's LeSabre instead (PIMP CAR!)
i prefer supercharged any way since its power now instead of power when it wants to spool, granted there are ways arround it on a turbo but it still a pain in the bummers

Also, since the 3.3 is essentially a truck engine, the bottom end, IIRC, is designed for more torque...
