VG33 intake manifold

Somewhere I heard you got some good powre gains and stuff from putting on a VG33 intake manifold... anyone hear anything similar to this?? does it make sense at all? i went and looked at one on a xterra tonight and it seems more "direct" than our vg ones. it's a little shorter but the pipes shoot straight to the heads instead of ours doing some crazy angles and weird flipping around (if you've torn apart the intake on a vg30 you know what i mean)

You are going to have to check the IM gaskets to see if it would swap over. Also you want to take note of the EGR and other sensor locations incase you have to do any wiring modifications.

quoted off of www.vg30.com which is a website dedicated to datsun 510 vg30 swaps and performance.

"If you decide to go with stock-based, multi-port EFI on your VG and want more power the first step is to use a multi-port injected Pathfinder intake plenum. This intake is said to flow 30% better than any other stock EFI VG intake."

How about a carb'd maxima?! That would be..um..different. Interesting, I never heard of using the vg33 manifold. Anyone have a pic to compare it to our version. I know alot of vg30 zcar drivers ust the maxima lower manifold for it's larger port size. Wonder how the vg33 compares?
