Hey guys I was just wondering what kind of gas milage you get. I get between 18 and 24.

This last trip to Maxus to and from Dallas and back I averaged 25 miles to the Gallon. I think that is good for an old car. Im very happy. I didnt think my gas mileage was so good.

does it seem like the take is made badly??? because i go from full to 1/2 in like 40 miles then from 1/2 to e is like 120 miles and its only like a 12 gal tank right???

I have an 86 with an auto tranny that is about to die so...
My book says that I have a 15.65 gal tank and if i fill it when it says that the tank is empty it only takes 9 or 10 gal. I know that my gauge is off tho because it only ever goes up to 3/4ths full.
Hey Maximase86 what kind of milage do you get with the turbo?

The gauge isn't really all that accurate. Keep in mind there is about a 2-3 gallon reserve. But look up the specs. I know for a fact 87-88 have a bigger tank than the 85-86.

that guy DJ something was getting gas mileage like that when his cylinder head temp sensor was bad. He was blowing black smoke his car was running so rich. Pull your codes, I bet that's what it is.

i thought he was blowing black smoke because his carbon canister had reached critical mass

Nah, carbon canister was one of the things he fixed, but wasn't the solution. I wouldn't be surprise if it was the CHTS. It's the next thing to cause an extreme rich situation right after the MAF.

i know man I gotta see what codes I get, and get the parts to fix it. My car doesn't seem to be running rich though, it just passed the California Smog Test a few days ago ( it was way below the limit on the smog causing elements) . That is after I gauged the mpg on my car. I get a lot of traffic every day on my way to college, maybe that affects it (sucks to live in Los Angeles).

It's an auto.
By the way does anybody have a set of rear springs for a wagon????
Mine are sagging real bad and I want to replace them with a set from a wagon.
