My experience with 3 maximas that we ran close to 300,000 miles before getting rid of them was they ran strong, burned no oil, and ran like new!

One was hit in the rear by a rubber-necking bozo. The other 2 were the victim of salted winter roads for many years. Rear strut tops rusted through, the brackets holding the gas tank rusted.... it was time to retire them.

My max currently has 296,XXX miles right now and it dosent have any leaks, knocks, taps, or pings all it needs is a flywheel because it has a tendency to chatter sometimes. But other than that this is the most solid maxima I have owned so far and its a daily driver.

I pulled a bunch of parts off a 87 that was in the junk yard. The car had been totalled out by an insurance company, but ran strong. It had 300,000 miles on it.
