I saw this the other day. You would need to check to see if it would fit your car, but just thought I would throw it out there, since I am guessing many of you do not go to the S12 site.

There are some ecu's and maf's here: http://z31.com/4sale/?partsell
The MAF I know is the same for all years on the 300zx, it's the ECU that may need to match the year of your car. I know that with the Z's, you have to match the ECU to the year, but I don't know if that carries over to the Maximas.

Would you happen to know if the ecu supports both a/t and m/t because i found a 88 n/a ecu?

Yes they are compatible. The cars have a seperate control box for the auto trans. If you want proof, here is a link to the rom table for an 88 300zx n/a ecu. As you can see there are no parameters for transmission controls.http://www.redz31.com/pages/fuel/hex.html

One thing to note, 84-86 and 87-88 ECU's don't play well with each other. So be sure you stick the the ECU around your year or you will have problems.

Nah, you need the ECU from the 88/89 Z31. It is 16-bit Vs. the 8-bit of the earlier ECU. You get higher res. maps.

The 300ZX MAF is the same as the 2nd Gen Maxima as far as I understand. I have an '88 300ZX Non Turbo Automatic ECU I'm looking to sell. It reads "A18-A03 M87" on the label... see here for reference:

http://z31.com/oboard/archives/view.pl?53

I'm looking for $100 + shipping for it. I also have an '84 Non Turbo unit somewhere, and an '86 Turbo unit I'll be looking to get rid of when I sell my 1st Gen Maxima Z31 conversion wiring harness.

If you're interested, please let me know. Otherwise, it will probably end up on ebay in a couple months (at a higher price).

Thanks - Chris

I have 1987 300ZX parts. ECU and MAF are still available. Its an early '87 BTW, not 16-bit. Its an old 8-bit like the Nintendo.
