Well, I never thought it would happen but my dad told me last night he purchased an pretty much mint 1987 T-top 2 seater 300zx 5-speed. It has just over 100k miles on it. He said he's putting new tires on it and upgrading to a better battery on it. I never thought my dad would actually buy one but Im so proud of him. My ranting finally paid off. He said the color is blue. Ill post pics of it when he sends them. Its gotta be in great condition because knowing my dad he wouldnt have just bought one just to get one. He calls it his "project."

 

I guess its not turbo? I dont think the turbo's came in five speed.

 

No it could still be a turbo, they came with 5spds. In fact, if it is, he may have gotten one of the best z31 300zx's. The 87s turbos have the newer body style, the LSD that the older ones didn't have along with the stronger tranny, and still have the larger T3 turbo unlike the 88-89, which had the T25. Nice find!

 

Its not a turbo. My dad didnt want to mess with a turbo'd engine too much. I told him still a great find though. He says he uses it when driving to the games he referrees for the colleges and highschools on the weekends.
