Anyone have an 88+ ECU?

Im attempting to Tune the ECU in the 2nd gen max. I've seen it done on Z31's, so im assuming the ECU is the same.

I was wondering if anyone had an 88+ ECU that they could open up and take a pic of.
Im curious at the location of the EPROM chip, the BIN file the program is stored on.

Both the ECU's I have, look differnt than the ECU thats shown in the Z31 tutorial. I have 1 from my 85 Max, and 1 from an 85 Z31 N/A, both are differnt.

The Z is marked with 24, and the Max is marked with 75. What Numbers do your ECU's have marked on them?

If you would like, please list the Number on your ECU, and the model and year of your Maxima, or any other nissans you have.

If I suceede in this mod, I will be glad to burn chips for people to install in their ECU's for a small price (probably $30 or so).

My Main goal is to change the TP (theoritical pulsewave) of the injectors to match the larger Z31 Turbo Injectors. But I plan to modify the Fuel and Timing map to enhance the power output for the turbo's, remove the top speed limiter, and increase the rev limiter. There are many things that are possible with the stock ECU, making it almost as good, or even better than an standalone unit.

Awsome. Much Thanks. Once I get my ECU programed, I can burn you a chip for yours, to compensate for injectors and turbo.

The ECU is weird cause there are alot more chips on it than the new Z31 and 32 ECU's, they only have one ROM chip. Thats what I know how to program.

Hmm... Both of those ECU's have 24 Pin EPROMs, The newer ECU's, like 87.5 300ZXT+ have the 28 pin EPROMS, which is what is needed for tuning.

Thanks for taking the pics. My 85 Auto ECU is the same, it has that weird daughterboard.

Now im getting into advanced electronics stuff, Im trying to get a PCB making kit, to make daughter boards that will work in the older ECU's.
