Lately here in Michigan it's been hot and VERY humid. Yesterday was like walking through soup. I've noticed that my 88 Max performs differently when it's real hot and humid rather than just hot. It's kind of hesitant when you first hit the pedal. I know that with higher temps there's less density to the fuel/air charge. Everything on the car is up to par, but my timing may be off a degree or 2, I still have to check on that.

This is the only car I've had where you can see a noticeable difference when it's extremely muggy and hot out. Just me, or do other folks notice the same thing?

Temp and humidity is pretty much your problem. If you have just a pop charger, the laggyness would be even worst. CAI do quite a bit better...but when it's really hot...yeah it's going to happen. These motors are notorious to "heat soak". The more you use the motor as the day progresses, performance goes down because of heat.
