Parting out my Dark Blue 88 GXE.

Hey guys, I discocvered this forum through Doug, I guess the owner of this forum, from SupraForums.com.

I have a dark blue 88 GXE auto. The motor runs, but burns oil as leaks oil as well but nowhere near as bad as it burns. 2 of the cylinders also have arcing issues with the plugs. It rattles a bit under semi hard throttle, but has withstood alot of miles so far.

The car recently bit the dust when, to my belief, the torque converter gave out and completely stopped delivering power to the wheels. Gear selection makes no difference. It was cheaper to buy a newer car than to fix it.

It has power everything including front seats, the original factory radio and EQ,
the sunroof works although it leaks, I think it just needs weather stripping.

Let me know if you guys think it is fixable or not and if not I will begin a list of things you guys/gals want and talk to my ex about that. It is her car. The partout was also her idea. the junkyard was only going to give us $125 as a whole car. **** that.

I know I'm supposed to have prices and be firm on my decisions but I am new to this forum as well as this is my first ever part out. I appologize in advance for any forum rules I may be breaking.

Thanks
Daniel the pizza guy.

I have no idea what they all go for but will obviously cut that.

I'm starting a list because my Supervisor JUST NOW got mad about us having the laptop/internet in the office. It's been here for almost a year.

Don't want to hijack the original poster's thread, but since he hasn't posted in a month...

I will be parting out interior trim parts from my 87 SE 5 speed. It's a really clean car and everything's in great condition. Switches, trim, door panels, etc. Also OEM sunroof deflector and mud flaps. No mechanical parts.

I'll also post a new thread in a day or 2.

I'm parting out several cars - '87, '88, '85 and maybe an '86. I could cut out a flex pipe for you - not sure how hard it would be to re-attach...probably rusty ends but the stainless braided part should be ok.

I'll try to post a thread soon but I'm very busy right now. Probably late next week. Gotta get rid of my parts cars or hide them - township is on my butt to clean up.
