where in the hell can I find this

I have been looking everywhere for the fuel temperature sensor(the one that screws into the fuel pressure regulator) and noone even knows what it is. The dealer wants me to pay for the full fuel pressure regulator, because they don't want to sell it seperate. Most of the people at the autoparts stores have no idea what I am talking about. Now, I know I can get it at the junkyard but that is a crap shoot at best(may end up getting a bad sensor anyways). I would really like to buy a new one.

The reason I am trying to find this is that the ecu's diagnostic threw out the code for that sensor. I have a feeling that this, along with possible low fuel pressure(going to check it before and after the FPR to see if the FPR is faulty as well) is what is causing the hesitation when it is cold. Trying to get this car running close to how it was when I bought it 8 years ago. Any help in this matter would be appreciated

yup, no such luck. I wish it were a bit easier to find. I even googled it to no avail.

i dont think the sensor has any importance for the durability of the car... mine was unplugged and broken when i had my max and when i fixed it it had no difference in the cars drivability.. all in all i dont think it that necessary but the junk yard your best bet.....

also if you want a quick fix of it if you dont find the part. what you can do is buy a resistor or potentiometer (variable resistor) and just put one side to the plug side and the other to ground ... but 1st find the resistance of the temp sensor when the car is running so you can get a ruff resistance so you can go find the resistor at a electronics shop (radio shack)... but since yours dont work you can have some of the guys hear help you out with giving you there resistance on their units and you just get an average number and find a resistor and presto fixed, since all the sensor does if measure the rules temp witch i dout changes much at all... hope this helps and ppl are willing to help you out with the resistance numbers if you got the fast rout....

thanks for the idea. that may be a good temporary fix. I am a little crazy in that I want to get that sensor, but I need to become willing to settle for a junkyard one(since it will be really hard to find a new one)

Make sure the resistance ranges are the same between them. that's from a Z32 (obviously). look up the specs in the FSM and make sure they're the same. probably are since Nissan likes to recycle small stuff like this.
