85 died while driving, no spark from coil, throwing two codes

I was driving the max around and it sputtered and died. I had it towed back to my house and it is not getting a spark at the coil pack. The dizzy is turning so the timing belt is not an issue. It is throwing codes 25 and 31. I don't want to go out and get a coil pack if that's not the issue. Thanks for any help

check the primary and secondary resistance of the coil pack to see if it works .. if their is no resistance in the primary or secondary windings then the coil pack is dead .. u can replace the coil pack with a msd ss coil $50 if the oem one is to expensive

Well it looks like the p/o did a hack job out of the wiring harness and there are splices that look like they shouldn't be there, broken connections galore and a poop load of electrical tape. Now I have to take the entire harness out and re solder everything that is missing. That could be my issue

If that doesn't fix it, check out my last post in the "1987 Questions" thread a couple below this. I had same problems and it might save you some $$$$!!!!

Check whether on not you're getting power to the coil!
