Sorry to burst your bubble Emerson but there aren't any adjustable coilovers for 3rd gens. Theres those ebay sleeves but no one wants to waste their time ,effort or money. So they stick to what they know.

Not that I know of. Only person to go that far in customization to a 2nd gen would be bigEdog. But now hes far from stock with his rwd setup.

Well found out that there are 4 bolts holding the converter on. Also found out that the axle is bolted to the motor. I finally got everything loose and the darn chain breaks while engine in mid air above emgine compartment

I was close on the number. I did not know that you still had the axle bolted to the carrier bracket. Would've thrown some suggestion to that had I known.

It shouldn't have. Just probably scared the hell out of him and whoever else was around at first.

DON'T FORGET TO CHANGE OUT ANY BROKEN EXHAUST STUDS WHILE THE ENGINE IS OUT.

No You can not use those coil overs. if you convert the suspension over from a 2nd gen to a 3rd gen you can. Use the search instead of thread jacking.

At first i didn't think anything broke. Today i found out the hard way that my jack stand broke. The car fell on me while i was under it doing final checks before attempting removal again. So after 20 minutes, some bruised and cracked ribs, and having the heck scared out of me i called it a day. Maybe tomorrow.

No that should be it. Go around it (360) top & bottom and see if theres anything still connecting it to the bay. If not yank it.

Oh and it helps next time to have a helper/friend if the car decides to fall on you. No need for death by Maxima. Better yet thats why I always leave the jack with the stands under it.

Wonderful to be getting OT....That'll help you get what you need! You can do it bag and tag everything.....there are plenty of parts available for that VG30 from Nissan Motorsports and Zcar magazines....I have a 1990 built N/A oversized pistons , Isky cams, headers, Custom ignition, Adjustable fuel pressure regulator, updated injectors, ported and port matched heads and intake system , CAI, 2.5" custom catback, ARP rod bolts, etc....these car are very similar with the chassis being almost identical to each other!

I had the jack under it too, but i guess me pulling and tugging must've tipped it over. And i usually always have my wife or brother helping, but brother was working, and wife was inside with all 6 kids doing homework.
Guess its my fault for being impatient. Lesson learned.

I think They will but I'll verify it in a few months I'm putting my 3rd gen back together after a lifter failed at less than 4000 rpm and it's my fault for not bleeding them b4 and soaking them in a bucket of oil b4 putting them back in service in my 1990 Maxima....But I've been looking at that and those header or stock 3rd gen should fit with no problem....the difference is the 3rd gen goes under the engne and the 2nd merges over the engine...I'll be fitting the 3rd gen OEM exhaust manifold and ypipe to my buddy's 2nd gen and if they fit the Headers will fit!

Well guys I'm back at it on my maxima. Been a long past few months. My engine still not out, my engine hoist blew out the bottom of the jack, and I now have a truly crappy job, so I'm building up parts and waiting on my tax return for the major progress. But my little lady hasn't been forgotten

How is your leg its has been over 6 months since your fall you healed up 100%?
Did you get your tax money yet? Tax return check came today but nothing close to start any major projects on my 87 Maxima I am following your progress bro and know I will learn something and be motivated to try my own projects.

Just little encouragement from a fellow Max owner

BTW I did buy Maxi a full tank of 91 octane with tax money

Be well bro.
