1985 nissan maxima sedan
The motor is basically above the sunroof switch/map light module. The removable plug right in front of the module gives you access to the motor shaft, which you can turn with a flat blade screwdriver to open or close the roof should you have no power or the switch is bad. Here's a diagram...https://www.parts.com/index.cfm?fuse...0-%20Liter-GAS
When I first bought my '87 in '06, the switch was NFG. Went on ebay, found an entire replacement module, still works great today 9 years later. If your motor isn't working, first check the sunroof relay under the hood, driver's side by the batt. I doubt your motor is bad...
