dude, forget a sunroof, get a sliding ragtop. you can get them as short as a regular sunroof or as long as the roof of your car and they are a lot cheaper to get put in. i got one put in for $200
Thanks for the information guys, but my problem is that I do/did have a glass sun roof and it was broken. (1988 maxima)
I do want to get it fixed very cheap...but don't know how to proceed.

I've got one, but I'm hanging onto it...my sunroof struggles sometimes to open/close. I bought my from a wrecking yard, for $150, including the glass...when I bought it, all I needed was the glass. After I bought it, and swapped the glass in, I discovered that the sedan & wagon are different for the glass panel - the sunroof motor & track assembly, however, are identicle. If you could get your hands on a glass panel for my wagon, an 87, I'd swap straight across - the motor, tray, glass, etc..., for the correct glass panel for my wagon. The motor / track assemblies are a dime-a-dozen here...and average about $100 - $200 a piece...but there are no wagons...ARGH!
