WTS: 92-94 Nissan Maxima SE Timing Gear Set: Camshaft Sprocket (13025-97E02)

Want to sell New (never used - but opened) Timing Gear Set: Camshaft Sprocket (Part Number: 13025-97E02) for Nissan Maxima VE30DE Engine (1992-1994 Nissan Maxima SE Sedan 4-Door) for $350 or best offer.

Details for this part can be found here. It is depicted as part #17 in fourth image below (engine diagram). Before ordering, pleasure confirm that your VIN number is compatible with this part number (try this website to check). This part should only be compatible with a Nissan Maxima VE30DE engine. I originally bought two of these mistakenly thinking the engine required two for a VTC repair to fix a ticking noise. This part has never been used, though the original part box has not held up through several moves.

I have already listed this item on eBay, so feel free to PM me for a link to it. See the links below to evaluate my selling history.

Man gl with this considering there is a rebuild kit available. There aren't to many people that want to go the new route vs the rebuildable one. Plus their gonna figure its a lot of work getting to them so why deal with it they can ground them out.

I don't know. I hear the rebuild kits don't always work and I would much rather have it done right than to chance it.

U and me both, but most of the people on here are cheap and take the simple route instead of the right one. At best they would order VTC assemblies from Rock Auto. You have the holy grail there but only a small few here appreciate that. Finding one of us that actually needs a set is slim to none. U will sale them, the question is when.

The guy selling the sprocket hasn't been on here since 2012 and has 0 activity. Try checking his profile to see if he has an email but it's a risk being he has no trader rating and obviously isn't a regular member.

Right I saw that but figured it was worth a shot. Anyway I just purchased 2 brand new assemblies, possibly the last 2 left in the country. Either way I would have had him set up an ebay auction or something so there's some protection...

Where did you manage to find them?

There was a guy just a few months ago who was selling just ONE on eBay. It was a kind of strange story, something like it was purchased to be installed but a dealership left "one bolt loose" on the car which destroyed the engine or some such and the owner died but the seller managed to get a few parts from the car. I can't remember the details exactly

I thought about it but he only had the one

I found them here

http://nissanpartznow.com/

which is surprisingly is right near my house in Philadelphia, Conicelli Nissan. Two brand new ones, dated 2011 and 2012...I didn't think Nissan was even making these assemblies in 2012...

I'm posting these pictures only because I may have the last 2 ever made?!

Very cool. I too am shocked they were evidently being made in 2011 and 2012. It seems like even back 10 years ago they were thought to be discontinued. I guess my fault for never having actually TRIED to buy new ones, I was just going by what people were saying on here about them being unavailable.

Were they still something like $400 each when you bought those two?

Yea I think I paid $391.00 or something, but I had to pay tax bc I live in the same state.....once these are installed I'll buy the rebuild kits for my existing VTC assemblies so if I ever pick up another SE I'll have a good set....although i doubt I'll ever get another. These are just too hard to keep on the road
