I'm having problems with the sunroof shade on my 91 Max SE: it doesnt slide back like it used to. I tilted the glass up to inspect the notorious clips and I only see two- one on each side up near the front of the shade. I do see two square black metal 'corners' towards the rear of the shade , but no more wing like clips to ride the side rails.

Which channel does the clip ride in /on? I see a three ribbed aluminum track in which the clip rides. Does the clip sit on the rail like ridding a bike, or does the clip go into the groove like a bobsled? I am assuming the clip goes on the loweest groove.

Am I missing clips? I searched the archives and saw references to 8 clips. I dont see where they are or were.

Any thoughts folks?

 

Yes , they go in the bottom groove, and yes there should be 8. 2 on each corner.
