Need some opinionated help

I am purchasing lowering springs, struts, and tires for my '91 SE. I would like to put a 40 series on my 17's. So which springs would even out the wheel well gap without slamming my car to the ground. Also, which struts to include with that. My goal is eliminate gap and stiffen ride. Some of the combo's that I have come across are Tokico and Eibach, and KYB and Suspension Tech. Bare in mind that I want an adjustable strut. Let me know what you guys think. Input is greatly appreciated.

If you'll do a bit of research, you'll notice that the only adjustable strut for our car are Konis.

As for springs, the best for handling will be Eibach. they drop 1.25"

ST springs drop 1.5" and are not much firmer than stock.

Intrax drop 1.75" and I can't comment on their ride.

You may also get your tire height too far out of whack with 40's. 17's should have 45's to stay within a reasonable proper tire height.
