Problem when accelerating! Plz Help!!
hey,
i own a 1989 Nissan Maxima SE. it has done approx. 250,000 KM. Recently, i have been having this problem when i drive on the highway and on normal roads. when im driving at 60-80km/hr and i want to accelerate and go faster, the car is unresponsive. i press the peddle all the way to the floor and nothing happens. the engine just begins to rev real loud. During highway driveing, this occurs as well, where i sometimes have to release my pressure on the peddle and after a few seconds then hit the gas pedal. Could someone plz help me out with this? is it the engine, specifically the pistons? the transmision? it only seems to happen between 60km/hr - 90km/hr.
