ok, Saturday night comin home from Monroe Michigan i was doin my usual 85 MPH and I see Blue lights gaining on me. Whatever, I knew it wasn't a cop so i didn't care. Well anyway, this PHAT civic passes me, then another following him, then a stock Integra. I was like "i'm hoppin in with them" so we're all playin in the three lane, you know, nailin it and seein who has the *****. at one point we did all decide to go all ***** out. it happened when i was next to teh Silver Civic with the blue lights and the Stupid wing. I heard him downshift because his Huge way oversized not enough backpressure muffler was so loud, and i was over 95 so i only dropped to 4th. i rode 4th till redline grabbed 5th pretty smooth. I was pulling away and he let off when my speedo was reading 130ish, but i stayed on it, cause i've never had it over 140, well i got to 145 and then ilet off it cause i was kinda scared. anyway, they got off at the Bowling Green exit with me and pulled into the parking lot behind me. they were all like "wow man, i can't believe that thing will do that". i was just happy cause i impressed some SCCA guys, they gave me their Numbers and i'm gonna go run the races with em. just thought it was a cool story.

125-130mph on the speedo, but I've heard 142 at the most!!! no conformation myself yet, there just aren't enough unpatroled roads in MD cops are crawlin around everywhere!!!

my VG was clocked on police radar last week at 142mph.

Yeah...MAtt got a nice look at the radar too, didn't ya bud? I'll have to post a picture O saw somewhere around here. If you're gonna take a picture of your dash "maxed out", then only 3 rules:

1. No photoshopping the picture
2. No jackin up the front end of the car and flooring it
3. Must actually go out and hit the top speed.
Any questions?

Do these rules sound fair? Simple enough, right?

I've had mine up to 140 mph on the Tollway stretch between HWY 59 and I-45 in Houston, Texas. That's my record.

top speeds

tight i thoguth someone before said the VG's only go 117? What are other peoples top speeds in VG's? I especially would like to know for people basically stock! And if the needle only goes to 135, how do you know you're going that fast?

The needle goes past 135, hell I think it will go back around to zero, if a max could go that fast. My max speed has been about 130, not sure what the actual speed was Speedo is not real accurate at those speeds. Matt93GXE got "caught" going that fast and was able to look at the radar gun.
