I have searched... new problem never discussed before
Here we go. My Problem is tht when i drive my maxima i would hear a "clicking" sound from the middle center console right where the cigarrett lighter is. I would be at the light and idling, it would click every so often. its getting to the point that it happends everyday, my only relief is to turn up my stereo. Its almost the sound of a condenser turning on and off, or like when you press the brake pedal and you hear the lock disengauge. that type of sound.. What could be the problem. Could it be the ECU going bad? I dont want any surprises anytime soon. If anyone can help i would much like it. And i have searched and have not found any information.
A/T or M/T?
If A/T check the same solenoid for the park release as spoken about in other "child safety lock" post.
If not get out the hammer....
the small plastic hammer to tap the solenoid! What were u thinking?!

1.) Your signature is huge, how bout it?
2.) I believe one of your climate control relays is failing. You can access it from the passenger side of the dash. However, since you have a '91 you might not have this relay so I could be wrong. Get on the passenger side and look towards the center console but up, you should see a blue or black relay. There will be a part number on it. You can start the car and turn your a/c on or whatever w/ the fan on and you should hear the clicking from time to time. See if that's it.
