I have an intention to by 1991 SE 5sp. Please let me know, what can be average fuel consumption for these cars? Thanks.

If you keep your tires at the proper pressure, do a tune up, clean the throttle body and intake collector, use at least 91 octane or better. The car should get around 16-21mpg in the city and about 27-34mpg on the highway. But I can tell ya, if you use your foot your mpg will fall. Basically keep up with your tire pressure use good gas and do a tune, you should be fine.

 

With my auto, I can actually get 30 MPG if it's just about all highway. I even got 32 MPG once. But realistically in snarling Seattle traffic, I get about 24 MPG. I still think this is pretty good considering the car is EPA rated 21/26 MPG (1992).

Considering it's a 3.0L V6, I can't complain.

 

geez, how do you get so much milage??! I get around 16 city, havent tried freeway yet. you must drive like my dad though, he always seems to get incredible milage.
