Rear turn signal housing question...

Has anyone removed the yellow plastic lense from the rear turn signal housing so that the rear signal blinks white instead of yellow/orange? I searched to see if this has been done, but I couldn't find anything.

Thanks in advance!

it's been done...just be VERY careful not to break the amber piece as you pull it out...it won't be fun to pull little pieces out of there.

I did the same to mine also. it wasn't much of a hassle at all. I still have the stock bulbs in them though and haven't had the chance to buy hyperwhites. but yeah its easy to take out the orange piece out of the housing. haven't gotten pulled over at all for doin't this and its been 3 yrs. since I did it.

Gracias, mi hermanos!

I'll check to see what the CA vehicle code says about white blinkers in the rear.

So all I have to do is carefully pull it out? Any kind of tool recommended? (needle-nose pliers, etc..)

Thanks a bunch! I'll let you know what I find out.

I tried to reply to your email about this, but it got returned to me
pit5bull@hotmail I think, maybe your mailbox is full?

also, you had a question about Y pipes and stuff. I'm not affiliated with WSP so I can't sell you any of those pieces, but I do recommend them

They are NOT easy to remove in an 89-91. They are however a 5 minute job in a 92-94. I removed mine out of my 93 and just slid it back in when I got my inspection. I have hyperwhites in there now, and I have had quite a few MA cops behind me and they haven't hassled me yet. Just make sure you have some amber bulbs handy.
