differences in the doors for the maxima

Hey guys,

I got a quick question here. Are there any differences in the trim for any years on the SE model? I found a 91 SE door and I want to make sure it will work for my 94 SE b4 I drive all the way down there to get it.

Thanks,

Mike

I think the 89-91 SE doors have a bit of the protective style paint on the bottom of the doors that the 92-94 SE's don't.

How wide is the strip? If it totally doesn't look too bad with it there the strip on it, I can just paint it later. I would imagine it's the textured roadguard? Is it black or body colored? I've never looked at an 89-91 that close to notice.

I don't think Black Maximas have a strip. My Black 92 doesn't have a strip either.

No strip on my '93.
It's on the rocker panel below the door though.

strip is about 1.5 inch in width.
black and gray cars are excluded i believe.
the color is charcoal/gray color.

again...the strip applies to 89-91 cars ONLY.
oh and it's slightly textured w/ that road guard stuff.

Black and grey cars? sweet! I like the look without it better anyway.

Thanks for the info guys. I got the 91 door from the yard yesterday. It did have the stripe but it was put on after the door was completely painted so I'm going to see if I can remove it with some solvent next weekend. I think a tranny change and door change is enough for me this week. They had this door stored inside and I though it wasn't the right one because there was an inch of dust on the thing. But the install went smooth and I just took the best parts and changed the door handles/locks out so I could keep the same key.
