Problem With my ABS! Help

Hi To All... First... I speak French... so i do some mistake when i write in english!

I just change my "cardan" since i change it the ABS seems to be a bit to "sensitive" Normaly the ABS is working when the tire is not "rotating". But Now When The car is doing about 1 to 5 km/h (1.3 mp/h) the system of the Abs "Think" taht the tire is not "rotationg" and The Abs try to Unlock The brake... The result is that i'm doing a few feet more when i'm braking for a Stop or a Red Light...

I konw the problem so i brake a little bit before the stop...

Did Any body can help me whit this mather... I wan to Sell my Maxima and buy a 2000... I'm doing a few repair before selling it... I dont want to sell a car that did not go well!

Well, I think I understand your problem (although your english is a little rough ), and I have had this same problem. Your first thing to check would probably be the ABS sensor in the wheel. It could be dirty. If that's not the problem, you could always do what I did and disengage the system all together! (I hate ABS anyway). If all fuses and connections seem to be fine with the system you may want to have it looked at, but it definitly sounds like an ABS system problem. Good luck...

Seems to be a common problem with the ABS cars after they get older.

here's some info from a few crazy Brits who know more about it than I do.

Well, I would check the sensors like I said. It's an old car, they are probably pretty gunked up, or maybe malfunctioning...
