left headlight on light switch off

I own a 93 MGX Max. The battery went dead while I was overseas for two
>months. Battery charger developed enough power to start the car. When I
>parked it again the battery went dead. I once again applied the charger and
>returned to the TV, A friend informed me I had one headlight burning. The
>headlight switch was off. I removed the cover of the relay/fuze box next to
>the battery and removed a 15 amp fuze and the headlight went out. I then
>turned the headlight switch on and Both headlights came on and went off
>when the switch was turned to the off position. When I next used the car
>at night I had only one light. I replaced the 15 AMP fuze both
>lights burned. When the light switch was turned to the off position both lights went out. However, when parked after being driven two days later the left headlight came on. I removed the 15 amp fuze again. fish@cafes.net Please advise.

Re: left headlight on light switch off

I have this problem also. I was told it is the combination switch acting up, so I need to replace that. But its on hold while I spend money on more important things. For now I just pay careful attention to make sure my right headlight doesn't keep burning. A dead battery is no fun!
