Hehe..ok...
I got my trannie rebuilt a few months ago...and i heard this can make em last longer n stuff so i figure its worth it. is there a noticable difference in shifting afterwards?

FOO my man one problem.......

VG trannys don't work with Don's VB mod!!!!! if you want a VB mod you'll have to go with Level Ten Transmissions and spend $700 for it opposed to Don's more affordable $400!! I'll be going with Lev 10 next summer for my nitrous project, unless I can get a spare VB and send it to Don for some testing!! sorry to burst your bubble!!! :bawl:

Yup two totally different types.....

now for the exact differences, I'm not sure, but I doubt its a great difference, BUT hey who wants to be a guinea pig, ya know!! when Don told us the first time, I was all excited, BUT then he broke us the news that its only for the VE tranny or #R----!!(not the one in VG's) Unless he can do a VG one by summer 2001 I'll be going with Level 10, heh $700 just to tolerate a little boost!!!! Boggles my mine some times

Well.....

if he's done the VG since August(when I last talked to him), then you've just made me A WHOLE LOT HAPPIER!!!!!! I'm definently gonna check though, $300 difference is too good to be true!!!

i don't believe this is true...if the vg one was made, we woulda heard about it and quite a few of us would have gotten it by now...also it's doubtful don will be making them anytime soon due to a recent "argument" a few weeks ago...he's stopped producing them for now...

I'm pretty sure that it is available for the VG too. A couple of months ago Don posted a thread saying that he would do the VB recalibration for like $350 for people who had the VG's. It was a couple of months ago but I'm pretty sure. I have the VG and I wouldn't have paid any attention to it if it was for the VE. I would do a search or just give him a call.

It basically modifies the transmission to shift firmer(and maybe other stuff...not sure) but its supossed to make the trans last longer too
I think it costs like 350

fat mike....it gives the tranny full line pressure during the shifts which makes it shift much faster. it's a great mod for an auto tranny because it makes the car much quicker and helps keep the tranny working good. it can shave .6 seconds off your 1/4 mile et. thats almost a full second!

Umm....makes it shift at full line pressure?
I thought all u had to do that was unplug the 'dropdown resistor'?
Or is that only for the VG?
