Guess what, trannys suck...
Oops, I did it again...
When I was on my way home from the Import and Truck Bash, my car started jerking a bit in first gear and I kinda heard a funny noise like something was banging together for a sec. I think that noise may have been my input/output shafts because then my car wouldn't go into any gear. I had it towed home and got under there to look at it. It all started when I busted my cheap a$$ y pipe (pay the extra for the WSP, trust me). I think the heat from the hole in the pipe caused my tranny seal to heat up and leak, but that is just a theory. Anyway, clutch seems good, and when I move the shifter the linkage moves in the engine bay, but I can't get it into any gear. I haven't checked the drain plug for metal shavings or anything like that because I need it on a lift or under a pit to have it level, but I am considering taking it in to a tranny specialist to have a diagnostic done
. I thought it would be great to get a little feedback from those who have helped me so many times in the past and from those I have helped. Any ideas on what I might be up against??? I have faced tranny delimas in the past, but none have been like this and I am a little baffled by my shifter not wanting to move...
