door light keeps on shorting
My door roof light keeps on shorting light keeps on shorting. I keep it on auto (you know it goes on when the doors are open) but after a couple of uses (ie 2 door opens) it keeps on shorting out. I dunno what the problem is and i don't have enough cash to keep on replacing the light.
I am guessing that it may be a incorrect fuse or something, coz i believe that it may be letting too much current through or something along those lines.
Are you guys having the same problem or do you have any suggestions on how i can solve this.

so the bulb is blowing out then? Are you using a bulb of the correct voltage / wattage. (sorry if this is a stupid question, needs to be asked)
you could test the wires for shorts by using a multimeter with a continuity tester. put one lead on the positive wire and one on the negative, if you get a reading, then the wires are shorting together somewhere. you could also put one lead to earth, and one on the positive lead, and if you get a reading there, then the wire is shorting against the body somewhere.
Hope this helps.
