Tranny ?

I have a 94 nissan Maxima, and the tranny started slipping about 1 week ago. The car only has about 126000miles on it. I replaced the raditor because the tech guy and nissan here said the tranny has a small amount of water in it. I flushed it out 6 times, befor you could not drive it 100 ft now you can drive it about 15 miles and it will start slipping and then quit alltogether. I can pull off to the side of the road and shut car off and then restart it and off we go again for about the same distance. Any suggestions on what this could be? any at all

Thanks
neal

I had an automatic that got water into it. I had it drained, filter replaced and new fluid put in. It didn't get all the water out and within a few weeks the transmission was shot. Get it flushed ASAP by someone who does a good power flush such as B & G. Keep your fingers crossed.

Hmmm, flushing on older cars, let alone one with current trnny problems, could cause more damage than good.

Don't drive on it too much. I dont know if this relates, but my tras had to be completely replaced($2100), and might not have been so bad if I hadn't tried driving on it once it died(driving, shaking, died, tried slipping into gear several times)
