Farewell

Wussup everybody I just came to say that I parted with my max and I now own an acura integra gs-r. Just want to say thanx for all the help and info since I joined. I have to admit though I do miss my max.

Wow, I've seen quite a few people with Max's going towards the Integs. Sup with that? lol I can't blame you guys, I wanted an Integ as my first car. Matter of fact, my choice as a first car was between a Max and a 91 Integra RS. Thank God I got the Max. But, if my choice was between a Max and a Integra GSR...hmmmmmm.

Hey im the opposite. My choice for a first car was btwn a G2 teg and a max. I ended up getting a 90 LS totaled it and now have a 93 SE courtesy AMAX95. Sorry to say it but i should of gotten a SE from the beggining but at least I can say I owned my 2 favorite cars that my pocket could afford. On the other had a GS-R is a different story power wise but I was never a fan of 2-door car and those engines go for $3,000 alone, so forget doing a swap in a sedan. Also with non GS-R and type R models you have to spend alot of $$$ to match the speed of my six cylinder monster. One thing I do miss though is the sweet gas milage I used to get.

I think the LS vetc's with turbo can run mid/high 13's with moderate boost and I/E, I think I read this somewhere on one the Honda hybrid board I visit...thats not bad at all! you can put together your own turbo kit for about $1500-2000 and eat Type Rs for dinner!

I don't really know what I'm going to do with it yet but I know I'll at least start with an intake but since there are so many choices I'll have to take my time so that I don't make any stupid mistakes. I still miss my maxima and I have some stuff from it that I'm selling. (stock wheels, etc.). if anyone is interested email me. Primeevil711@yahoo.com

I have alot of brand new teg parts 4sale that i did not get a chance to install before my accident. I have AGX KYB struts (front& back), arospeed coilovers(good reviews), high flow cat, muffler, fstb, also have a termal exhaust for a 92-92 sedan but im not sure it will fit a GS-R. I also have a canister style muffler w/ silencer has 4" slanted tip. If interested in anything email me frenchy00@collegeclub.com

Re: Farewell

I drove a 92 Integra with 106k before buying my 92 Max with 113k. No comparison. The Max was a far better car. It could have been partly due to the individual vehicles though.

I bet it wasn't a GS-R you were driving. There is a huge difference btwn vtec and non-vtec tegs..

Farewell

I don't post much, but I have to say that I truly believe there never be another car like the 3rd Gen max. I looked for a year and a half to find the one I wanted. Not to mention, that in NYC, it's hard to find a 5sp car. I am a big BMW fan and I thought about the 3 series during my Maxima search, but the room in the Max is better. (6'2 1/2 tall)

I can't tell you how often people ask me If I'm selling it and there is no "for sale sign on it. Any one that rides in my car can't believe its a 93 because of the power and the ride. I haven't even ordered the mods yet, so imagine when that happens!!!

I guess you can tell I love my car

I am looking to go to another level BMW 740i Sport this winter ( I figure after dealing with this car, anything else would be moving backwards)( plus 8 cyl power)

I have nothing against Honda's, they just don't get put a smile on my face the way a Maxima does.

Even after buying my Bimmer, there is still no way in H*** I am going to part with my Max. I will modify it as far as I want it to go and ride it to die.

I wish you well on your new car, I've seen some nice Integras on the road, we should all get what makes us happy.

Thanks again to all those that has taught me a thing or two on ethe Maxima.org Board

Peace
