Air leaking from K&N!

The stock air filter seems alot better besides the fact that the K&N is louder.. but I have a big problem with it. Well, 3 of them.
1. The bolts don't match up!!!! The stock holes don't match up with the K&N adapter exactly, it's only possible to have 3 bolts in at a time

2. Air leakes through the sides, so dust and everything comes right through the pipe, before the filter.

3. It wobbles. It rests on where the other did, is by no means bolted down, and might damage something else is the car is hit something.

I'm sure there's some way to solve these? Anything to do besides replacing the stock filter box?

Has any one installed a K&N folter before? How were the results, and what did you do?

yeah..I have the same problems.....3 bolts, filter strethed over the bolts and clamped and damn paint scratched off under the filter from it moving. I've just been too lazy to find, bend and attatch a piece of metal to suspend it off the engine bay. Plus my filter has a chrome end-cap which makes it worse.
