Yes. There is an alarm for your car. It's not all that great but it works, kinda. There should be a flashing yellow light with the word "security" showing above the check engine light and seatbelt light. When you lock your doors and close them you should see the light blink a few times. If your alarm goes off by accident, u can turn it off by putting the key in keyhole and just turn as if you were unlocking the door.

sometimes sensors for the stock maxima security system go bad causing the alarm to go off at random times. Check these sensors or if you don't know how have someone check them for you.

Not to sound too mean, but could the subject of your post been ANY more vague and unhelpful? "Maxima question" ...gee really...it's a MAXIMA FORUM!

Just a helpful hint, you'll probably get better replies and quicker replies if you make the subject relevant, i.e. "does my max have an alarm?"

Better than not getting any good replies at all for a while...and he would learn a valuable lesson that way too

Yip L.A. Not in L.A, but pretty close. What's SLO? I drive down Melrose and Beverly and stuff...I've seen all the cars. I saw a Lamborghini Murcielano That thing rocks, sounds cool too.

I go to college in SLO (a.k.a. San Luis Obispo) and the town basically consists of 50% rowdy college guys with rice rockets and 50% old retired rich dudes with Vipers, pimped out Porsches/Bimmers/the occasional Ferarri, etc. so it's really fun to drive around on a Friday or Saturday night downtown and see the "battle of the generations" showing off their cars around town, circling the popular blocks and revving engines...I like to occasionally represent the college half with my Max, I have turned a lot of heads with the JWT intake, sounds a lot like boost blowoff when you stomp the gas and growls like it's super modified under the hood ;-)
