Factory Keyless entry

I have the factory keyless entry on my 93' 5speed and it has the lock and unlock function and a panic button. But when i press the panic button the alarm doesnt go off it just stutters and sometimes after stuttering for a little bit it will start honking, also when i press the lock and unlock button i usually have to do it several times before it actually locks/unlocks, whats up with that anyone have any ideas or experience that problem before? Also i was wondering about adding a remote start to the factory keyless entry, is that possible??

Thanks
-Mike

Is it a remote? If so, I know it sounds simple but did you try changing the battery because I had that problem with my old car where I had to try several times before it did anything.

Do that, if no luck, then geta new remote..sometimes the switches get crappy (moisture and pocket lint get in there. I actually took apart the remote to my girl's Viper alarm because it wasn't working right. I did some surgery on the little buttons in there (exacto knife, cotton swabs and crazy glue) and now it works like a charm. But get the battery first.

Really?

Factory Keyless? Did you do a tranny swap or something? I've never seen a 5-speed 3rd gen (that hadn't been swapped) with keyless. I thought keyless onle came on GXE's.
