steering wheel problem

i searched, havent found nething revelant.
problem, got new back struts, bushings inthe front. ride was bumpy. mech said driver side and rear passenger tire are bad. the steering wheel, used to move around alot over 40, now after getting it fixed. it feels too loose under 40, especially when i hit a bump, or if its raining, feels like im gonna lose control,it moves on its own.when i go above 40 its not as bad, but its loose. also when turning feels spongy/loose. i prob need an alignment/2 new tires. is this a common prob? i've had my ball joints changed last oct. ne thing else that i should have looked at? thanxxxx
ps ne 1 have a rear driver window regulator/motor for sale?
