Changing your Auto Tranny Fluid...
ok.. i drive a auto crap max. i hate that its auto but whatevea...
- can i just follow the same steps on www.maximadriver.com on changing the "manual tranny" fluid? or should i let a pro. do it, i have all the tools needed.
- how many quarts will my AT hold...?

i don't know what the instructions are on that site, but it's a little different for an auto tranny.
1. jack up car, place on stands (might not even be necessary but it helps if it's your first time).
2. locate the tranny plug. just use a 1/2 inch ratchet to take out the plug. it's on the driver's side close to the wheel.
3. drain fluid and replace plug. warm fluid drains faster/easier.
4. add fluid to dipstick tube. (i think it's about 4 qts...i use valvoline maxlife fluid...)
5. make sure to check the fluid level as you're adding (according to the owner's manual) so that you don't overfill.
6. repeat this process every 2 weeks for about 3 times to get rid of all the old tranny fluid.
