My poor side mirror...

Someone defiled my wonderful car today by changing into the right-hand lane...right into my Maxima.

Could have been worse, her Corrolla just ran into my driver side mirror. Didn't shatter the glass or anything, but it was sufficent pressure to snap the little rotating thing that connects the actual mirror from the mast attached to the door. You know, the part that allows it to "fold in"? Well, now my mirror is dangling by its little power cord and is quite a sad sight.

Has anyone ever replaced just this little part? I know I could just replace the whole thing, I'm just hoping to avoid having to scour the boneyards (opposite side of town) and looking for a color/year match. And no, I don't wanna buy 2 SE black mirrors. =)

I'll see if the dealer sells the part seperatly (I'm guessing they won't)in the morining. I'd appreciate any thoughts on this, I always recieve helpful responses from this board (awwwwwww....).

Thanks!

If I ever get off my lazy @$$, I'll go ahead and swap my stock mirrors out for the Skyline mirrors I've had sitting in my room for the last year... Maybe then, I'll sell mine! (or maybe not)

Sorry to hear about your Max, bro!
