'93 Maxima Steering

Hi, I have a 93 Maxima GXE, and, starting yesterday morning, the steering has been somewhat sluggish. It only happens when I'm taking extremely sharp turns, or when the wheel is turned all the way in one direction and I turn it all the way to the other. WHen this happens, the wheel begins to get difficult to turn and I have to somewhat forcefully turn it in order to complete the turn. I'm extremely auto-illiterate, but any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Could be the rack going or could be the pump/fluid level , hard to say ..... when you say hard to turn do you feel any type of pop ?

this happened to me too when there was almost no fluid left in the powersteering resevior. so check that. if theres no fluid its probably your high pressure line thats leaking. you can either get an expensive one that'll last from the dealer for about $80 or go to autozone or pepboys and get a $30 that might go out sooner. search and you'll find a lot of information on this.
