you can get a diagnostic test at autozone for free if you tell hem your check engine light has been coming on. I don' know if its free or what your looking for, but they do it for free.

Well, would Autozone have the 'Consult' thingie to plug into Maxima ECU? My local Nissan dealer also want $80 to do diagnostic, that is why I haven't done it yet.

It is but they have a computer that controls it so they don't have to get in the footwell and do Kama Sutra to get the thing set and read the code. They just plug in somewhere and use a console to run the self diagnostic. It really is crap that they charge you for 1 hour when it can be done at home the hard way in 20 minutes.
