Some stupid moron scraped the side of my maxima today while it was parked at Epping train station down in melbourne. I just got off work and uni (started work at 11 and finished at 2 then had class from 3.30 till 5.30).

I am a pretty calm and cool headed guy but when I found that my baby got wacked. Well I really got ****ed off. I hate when people damage your car then they don't leave a note or something saying sorry and they will replace it.

I am a poor student and I only roughly get by on centerlink and the occasional once off working event. The only vice in my life is my car and I really love it (sometimes better than a gf when it isn't in the mechanic). I was going to spend some money to kinda mod it (was going to put a k&n air intake + 3" exhaust + front strut bar), but looks like i have to go repair the car (it isn't bad just a big white scratch along the side and a nice chunk off the plastic bit off my window).

So for the idiot out there who wacked my car, if i find out who you are, I swear to god you will not recognise your car (unless your a hot chick then we can swap numbers and you can pay me back in "other" ways ).

just had to get that out of my system, it just really peeves me off when this sort of thing happens.

Something happened to me about 5 weeks ago. I parked at school and when I got home that night I noticed a decent size gash on my drivers side door. It seems like some idiot didn't know how to park or something. I was pretty ****ed, but I got over it. What comes around goes around...believe that!

I undestand how you feel man someone keyed my car a few months ago, but you can get touch up paint for cheap is all I can recommend. ut if you find the person who did it I have three words for you as to what to do with them...

I have 700 miles on my GTI and already have a scuff on the pass mirror and a door ding I park a way from people. Damm ****ing ******* people see a nice shiny car and have to treat it like **** because they are ********s Ahhhh! **** *** **** suck mother****ers

is that your GTI?. i used to have a 2000 Jetta GLX 5 speed before my max. and i had a 98 GTI VR6 before that. i was gonna buy a new passat instead of the max, but i decided to save money for a house or apt building VR6 has alot of torch. what are your plans for that car? im sure you are part of the vw forums. i still check the vortex page every other day. let me know what you plan to do with it? i really liked the autotech swaybars and strut bars. i definately recommend them.

Heh, someting similar happened once to my old max, which has been passed out to my sister by that time. She parked on a mall one day, and when she got back the side of the trunk was bashed in. Must be a big truck that hit it. No perp in sight... Very maddening indeed!

But hey, if you believe in karma, something bad's gonna happen to him soon anyway!

 

That really sucks man. i have had the same thing happen to me in the past. it seems like if you have a nice ride it just attracts any kind of damage while being parked somewhere. some people have no respect.

 

I was parked at the health club. When I came out I noticed a large soft scrape behind the rear passenger side wheel well. It went all of the way to the bumper. It also had tell tale signs of grey plastic rubber like the strips on cars with the old chrome bumpers. Probably some old guy who didn't know how to back out and swung it tooooooo wide. He had to know, unless he was blind. I was able to hammer it out myself from inside the trunk and buff most (not all) of the scrape.

Also, there is a gal at work who drives a crap Ford mustang. Everytime she parks next to me I find a new white door ding. Some people just don't care. And some people will go out of there way to damage a brand new car. Just ask my boss. Every time he gets a new car someone dings it hard within the first two weeks. The same thing happened to my new minivan. First week and there was a big door ding in the front left fender (while my wife was still in the van!).
