as i am sure many of you have experienced aftermarket bulbs sometimes melt the the sockets

my question is this

Has ANYONE found a socket that can handle the higher wattage, i Really like the color of my lights, i cant stand it that they keep melting, and it pretty much makes sense to me,

any help would be awesome

I had the same problem and I went actually burned one of the prongs on the drivers side bulb down and after having new headlight sockets in from the local auto parts store the passenger side is ok but I burned the driver's side again for the second time becuase of the shorter prong trying to draw all the power and it melted again so I am going through this again. It really is a pain but I enjoy the lights as well and i'll just take the time to do it. The sockets from my local auto parts store has been ok for me but time will tell I guess

 

Look at Craig's website - he has instructions on how to make your OWN upgraded headlight harness. Probably a darned bit cheaper than buying one. And you'll have the satisfaction of doing it yourself.

thanks alot guys, ive replaced mine 3 times now, and i have been delevering pizza's with only fog lights for 2 nights now (i readjustd em so they aimed alot higher, it isnt to bad actually)

i couldnt find craigs website tho, anyone have a link?
