So I'm sitting in Applebees after watching my school lose to georgia tech (we drop to 9-1). Ironically, I was sitting at the table by the window right in front of my max. As we were waiting on our food, a guy in a 2003 silver ford focus tries to pull into the parking spot beside mine, he nudges my car, backs up, hits it again, and then really hits the gas and scrapes the side of my car. Evidentaly as my car jumped and jolted that 3rd time, he finally realized he hit my car. I couldnt believe what I had just seen. I walked outside to talk to him, but he saw me approaching his car and floored it out of the lot, some bystanders got his license plate and I called the cops. I waited for about an hour, called the cops again, and they said the cop couldn't find me, so I got another cop sent, and an hour later I finally gave up.

The damage to my car isn't so bad, just a lot of silver paint over my red paint. The guy that hit my car was most definately drunk from the football game and it really ****** me off that he would run from a collision knowing that I was approaching him. A friend of mine said stuff like that happens a lot, and the guy will most probably get off without ever getting caught.

I'm on the lookout for the car now, the guy was definately an NCSU student, so I might see his car around. If any of you Raleigh guys want to lend your eyes, I have his plates. Other that just looking around for the car, I'm pretty much out of luck. Just thought I would vent to the guys on the org and let you guys hear how much respect I have lost for people in this world.

Make friends with a cop and get them to run his plates on the sly. Let's just say it worked for me and leave it at that...

 

dude. personally, i would have got in my car and chased his sorry a$$ down. drunk? yeah. he would probably have died trying to run and even then i woulda dragged his a$$ out and beaten him from death if he was dead.

The thought did cross my mind, but the girls at the table with me would have been upset, had I left them. And I have a friend who is a cop, so I'm checking into the possibility of running his plates. Justice will be served.

 

People just don't know how to drive. This guy must of been a super retard to do it more than once.

Well, just so you know... it wasn't me! But I'd still go with the "lophix school of thought"--

 

3x's.... dang what was he thinking.... I feel sorry for ya, i got hit just a little while back while getting my hair cut. I came out to look at my car, sides were messed up, around the mud flaps were messed up, and my driver side clear corner broke and hung out.... if i ever find out who did it... revenge will be sweet....

 

I would do the same thing. I know plenty of cops where I work and I'm sure they would be more than willing to help me out. Have them run the tag and get his info, etc. Isn't a hit and run considered a felany in most states (or leaving the scene of a crime). You could just go to his house late at night and take pictures of this car with scrapes, etc. Then take him to small claims court.

These types of people should be punished. Get some justice!!
