well today i took my grill off with the full intention of doing the gutterguard grill. We did it on an accord first to practice. it came out really really nice on the accord. But that grill isn't nearly as large as the max's. well anyway, i took my emblem off and decided i like the "billet" grill look. i'll have to see it in the daytime to decide if it looks like i just lost my emblem though! that would be bad. anyway, any opinions here? hopefully i'll get some pics soon. i figured with the black headlight covers, the clean grill, the black tails i'm getting from skymax, it should look decent. Now to just work on getting some nice rims for her. i was thinking about painting mine black. I put up a post before about it.

I removed the Nissan logo from the grille on my 93 SE...

I think it looks pretty good, except in broad daylight, if u look straight at the grille, you can see a small rectrangular piece behind the grille where the Nissan emblem was attached. no biggy tho....

Here is a couple pictures from the Brooklyn Meet 12/3:

if...

you don't wanna make the whole mesh grille, afetr you take out the emblem and then just cut off that little rectangle with a dremel.

One more question

For all those who have done the custom grill and those who are planning to do the grill, "What did you use to attach the gutter gaurd to the frame of the grill"

I just did it...i bent it up at the top and that held it there, and at the bottom since the grill was taperd in i just made the mesh where it sat right in there and used wire to wire the mesh to the part of the grill where the snaps are to hold it on the car. If i can, ill get my bud with a dig camera to take pics of it.

ok here's the thing. I like it without the emblem, and with the headlight covers it looks really good, but i really do want the mesh grill. It's too bad i don't have a chrome GXE grille. I'm not sure if it'll look right without the chrome aroudn the outside. We'll see. anyone wanna trade their GXE for a black SE grill?

Grill Removal Instructions

I just wanted to see if anyone out there knew how to properly remove a grill off of a 92 SE. I want to make sure I do it properly and don't break anything.
if you can help, please do.
Thanks.

well i have had it both ways. a while ago i had the "billet look" with taking the emblem off and i liked that alot. then i made the mesh grille and i like it a lot better. i think it looks sweet, especially now that i got my gtr badge mounted. and hey flyry110, i think it looks great with the body colored grille frame! so if i were you i'd keep the black se grille and make the mesh one. i have a write up on my site with a couple of close-ups of the gutterguard grille for any of you who wanted some pics and a how to.
