Question I have 205/55 r16 now and I want low profile what size should I be looking for 215/40 r16? I am really confused about tire sizes but I want lower ones now any one help me out here

I used to have the same size tires on my 16" rims 205/55/16 and i just switched to 225/50/16 and i am very pleased with the width and profile of the new tires. I would recommend that size, but its up to you! I like having the wider tire on my car.

 

215/40 is waaaaaaaaaay too small and will throw off your speedo...

how wide of a rim is it?

 

i have 215/55r16's on 97 maxima wheels. . its perfect
