That's lifter noise due to the oil draining out of the top end when the engine is off. Most good oil filters, like the Nissan one, have valves that prevent this. If it's real cold where you are regualr oil gets thick when cold, and will contribute to the problem. I have a Purolator filer (has the valve) and Castrol synthetic blend, and get no noise with the temp in the teens.

well if u listen to the second one, the really low-pitched klunking..i think its rod knock..
Iv got a nissan oil filter, 10w40 oil, and it was about 35 degrees. It sounds like that no matter what the temp

VTC Sprocket

from what i can hear it sounds like my Maxima.

i have a 92 MaxSE and from what i hear all over is that it's a malfunction with the VTC Sprocket, it won't do ne harm to the engine but it's hella annoying. Nissan might fix it up for you (if you don't you're gonna have to pay a hefty sum). Well this is only a guess, but your car sounds alot like mine, well good luck.
