FYI: Got my car back today from a local mechanic. I had coolent leak which was dripping on the power steering pump. Anyways they took the car apart, timing belt cover and all. It was suspected that it might be water pump leaking. It turned out to be freez plug on the inner cylinder head. I also end up replacing three oil seals (two cam and one crank) they were about to go bad. Total cost $523.00, alot cheeper than Nissan dealer. These guys are good and they took the front mount off to raise the engine up so that they can get to upper portion easily. I though just to let you guys know. The water pump was good (only 20,000 miles on it. Any thoughts?

Mine runs fine but recently had two major problems. One was the replacement of exhaust studs and now coolent leak. Block my car looks exactly like yours, pearl white and SE. I don't care what everyone else says, IMHO pearl white color suits Maxima the best.

hmmmm

Well, you are in better shape then me.

I HAVEN'T gotten my car fixed, and I am broke allready.

That tranny rebuilt 6 months ago was a deadly blow to my wallet, I can barely afford minor maintenance, don't even want to go into repairs... forget the mods!

Guys I am really sorry to hear that. I have this car and it mainly sits in the garage all week unless my truck is gone. I was saving that money for the WSP Y-pipe. I guess I have to start over again and now I am getting this rotten smell from my truck's CAT. (BTW my truck is a 94 Nissan SEV6 with VG30E engine). If it is going bad I may be broke for a long time. Although Kansas does have strict emission laws, I don't know how much it is going to cost me to replace that. I guess I can replace it myself.

Good luck and Happy new year to all of you
